Yeah, I think I’d rather be officially Dutch than officially British at this point- gives you more options, and if things somehow go really pear-shaped in Britain, you’ll be better off.

thats what i was thinking... sides.. i dont plan to live here forever... im going where they have winters one day... im thinking either finland or austria/switzerland

Ye’, getting a Dutch passport is a safe option.
It looks too late for a second referendum unless a hasty one is called to be held in early March or parliament can get their act together and shut it down.
I guess what will be will be, this isn't going to be great for anyone, anywhere, not just the U.K. and E.U. but everywhere as the markets will fluctuate wildly trying to find equilibrium (economies around the world are fluctuating and much of it has nothing to do with Brexit, so when it hits, it'll be worse), people in the E.U. and U.K. will struggle for sometime trying to figure out what they can and can't do across borders.

welcome to the suck
lets hope we all get through it ok

The thing is the people who voted for Brexit are the older generation that won’t be round much longer to see what happens, the easily placated who didn’t bother to learn about what Brexit entails and possible outcomes, the ignorant who blame everything on others as nothing bad that happens could be their fault and finally the racist ignorant gits who just hate for hatings sake, they can go f*** themselves.
See you on the other side mate. It's going to be an awkward ride.

The only solution for that is to cancel Brexit.
And for that to happen, the party has to turn on Theresa May and give her the boot and have a vote to revoke the invocation of that article that started the Brexit process.
If you’re in the UK, tell your local MP and any other politician to push for a vote to cancel Brexit because people were duped into voting for it because assholes like Nigel Farage misrepresented what it would mean.

Between Donald Trump and Brexit, this must be Putin’s wet dream. Russia could never break up NATO, and now the western alliance is breaking itself up.

It could be worse: Donald Trump.

Afraid not as far as I’m aware.
There have been things said but it's one of those things that will be decided with the outcome of and parliamentary vote and what Brexit goes through, either with a deal or without a deal.
![]() 01/12/2019 at 13:36 |

The thing is, these are the people that turn out to vote while the rest jus t don’t bother, are disenfranchised by the political system and say, ‘it doesn’t matter who I vote for ’ yadda yadda yadda and those that vote one of the really small parties (in many ways wasting the vote by not putting it with a larger party to prevent the racist/ignorant party to gain headway).

And because he was in the E.U. parliament, he gets an E.U. parliamentary pension.
The scumbag.
